Immediate Set: The combination
of the Spear Head and the wing tips combine to
make this anchor set immediately in all ground
types. Typically it will be load bearing in only
the length of the anchor itself. The sharpened
point on the spearhead means it will cut through
weed, normally the most difficult seabed type to
anchor in.
Super High Holding Power:
Because the Supreme uses a roll bar to self
right instead of a heavily leaded tip, weight
can be distributed into the loadbearing fluke of
the anchor. This increased surface area equates
to a much higher holding power. The anchor is
currently being surveyed by Lloyds Register of
Shipping and will be certified as a Super High
Holding Power Anchor, the first production
anchor in the world to receive this status &
certification.
Dual Shank Anchoring: The twin
slots on the anchor shank enable use in all
seabed types. When anchoring in rocky or coral
situations, switching the anchor rode onto the
rockslot means that if the anchor becomes lodged
or jammed, the shackle can slide to the front of
the anchor and simply lift forward. This removes
the necessity to use a tripline or to change
anchors. A pictorial display is shown below.
Bow Roller Compatability: The
anchor is made to fit with all standard bow
roller fittings. It will also fully self launch
from all bow rollers.

Features of a Manson Supreme
Construction aspects of the Supreme
Shank
Built from High Tensile Steel for extreme
strength under load. Bisalloy 80 is 780mPa vs Mild Steel 260mPa. Stainless steel models
use 2205 grade steel instead of 316L. This means the shank is much more resistant to bending under
load. The weight saving means more weight and hence more area in the fluke.
Dual Operation Shank. Shackle to the sandslot for anchoring in mud, sand and
weed. Switch to the rockslot for anchoring in rocks or coral! The unique dual
arrangement allows the shackle to move forward when the anchor snags and lift the
anchor clear from entrapment. This removes the need to use trip lines which can tangle.
Fluke
Reinforced Laminated toe. Provides an extremely strong forward section of the
anchor where the most loading is concentrated.
Sharpened Spear Head. This added feature ensures great penetration into the seabed.
Especially significant in weed or kelp areas the spear cuts through to start the
anchoring process. The spearhead also concentrates all the weight of the anchor
onto a very small area encouraging the anchor to dig and set immediately.
